This is a great read. Security in healthcare carries some unique challenges, especially considering public funding in many cases combined with the regulatory climate - JCAHO, HIPAA, even PCI. I think more security spending is coming in the years ahead as pressure continues for reducing healthcare costs through more ERM and other IT initiatives. This puts more demand on HIPAA compliance and security - not just network security, but starting first with physical access.
